What components does the wind power plant contain? What types of construction kits do you offer?
a) Basic construction kit
- tower (mast),
- blades,
- generator,
The basic construction kit does not contain circuit breakers, protections, control unit and inverter.
b) Network (On-grid) systems are supplied including inverter, protections and control unit.
We offer the “basic construction kit” together with a control unit, regulator of storage battery charging, circuit breakers and a certified electrometer for the implementation of “off-grid system”. The storage batteries are not a part of the delivery (their amount is determined by the investor depending on the required function of the “off-grid system” and input of connected appliances). We are also capable to supply storage batteries upon customer’s request.
Do I need a building permit for the wind power plants offered by your company?
NO. Territorial approval is sufficient for the construction of the wind power plant with the height of tower lower than 10 meters.
What is an off-grid system?
So-called off-grid system is the system that operates independently without an external electric network. It is suitable in the cases where we do not want to connect our system to the distribution network; it means for example for separately located cottages or chalets, or houseboats.
It is necessary to connect a battery that is used for energy storage during the period without sunshine (photovoltaic power plants) or without wind (wind power plants).
The off-grid system consists of:
- Energy sources (photovoltaic panels, wind turbine,…)
- Regulator of storage battery charging (charger)
- Certified electrometer (for accounts with ČEZ / EON / PRE)
- Storage battery (lead storage battery in 95% of cases)
- Inverters (for connection of ordinary network appliances 230V/~50Hz)
What is the redemption price of 1kWh of produced energy?
The following redemption prices are valid for all wind power plants that were commissioned after 1st January 2009 (inclusive):
- Sale: 2,34 Kč/kWh
- Green bonus: 1,63 Kč/kWh
Is a building permit necessary for the construction of Phono Wind power plants?
It is not necessary to obtain a building permit for the towers with the height of up to 10 m. You should only submit a notification to the local authority.
The wind power plants exceeding the height of 10 meters require issue of building permit.
How is the lighting with a combined energy source (wind, sun) protected against too strong wind?
The lamp with a combined energy source (300W wind, 170W photovoltaic) is protected against excessive wind. If the wind speed will exceed a safe level (30m/s) a breaking resistor is connected which is decreased up to zero by a consecutive switching of individual branches. The turbine is kept in a stalled state by the short-circuiting of generator outlets.
What amount of energy can be produced by the installed wind power plant in our conditions?
According to our experience one installed kWp of the wind power plant can produce approximately 2,400kWh / year in average.
What is the system of protection for the wind generators against too strong wind?
The wind generators from 0.5kW to 11kW are equipped with the following protective system: If the wind exceeds a safe speed (40m/s), a bending of the tail part that keeps the blades upright to the wind direction will take place. The tail part will straighten again and the generator can use the wind energy completely again.
Are the generator blades tilting?
No. The generator blades have a reliable hollow design. They are made from polyamide resin with glass fibre reinforcement (300W generator). Wooden blades are used in case of 500W – 11,000W generators. They are coated by epoxide resin with glass fibre reinforcement.
What is the value of output voltage of Phono Wind generators?
Three-phase, alternating output voltage with variable frequency and voltage (depending of the wind power) is used for the available generators. The generators are also equipped with a control unit (controller) and a balancing resistor to enable the utilization of the wind power plant in the distribution network. They enable connecting the generators to the inverters that are produced for example by the SMA Company (SMA WindyBoy).
What does the term “wind turbine axial thrust (kg)” in the technical sheet mean?
This is a maximum pressure that can be exerted by wind on the turbine. The information is used by the designer to determine sufficient dimensioning of turbine anchoring.
What is a minimum wind speed for running of the generator?
Minimum wind speed for running of the generator is from 2 to 3m/s, depending on the type of generator.
Where can I find a wind map of my location?
You can find the world wind map at the webpage: http://firstlook.3tier.com/#
Is excess-voltage protection a part of the wind power plant delivery?
Yes, the excess-voltage protection is a part of the package.
How many types of wind generator towers are available? And what types?
You can find either separately standing towers or towers anchored by means of three steel ropes in our offer.
What is the size of a controller?
For 300W: 190 x 150 x 68 mm
For 500W: 430 x 200 x 370 mm
What is the size of a regulator („charger“)??
The dimension of regulator is 170 × 150 × 60mm.
What is the size of one accumulator („battery“)?
One accumulator has a dimension of 330 x 172 x 214mm.
